Your Surplus Does Not Have to Stay on Hold

I understand why surplus sometimes ends up at the bottom of the list.

Your department may be short on staff. The people you do have are covering several responsibilities, and there are only so many hours in the day. Taking pictures of an old truck or sorting through equipment in storage can wait when something more urgent needs attention.

The problem is that the equipment stays there. It takes up space, loses value, and becomes another task someone will eventually have to handle.

You know it needs to move. Finding the time is the hard part.

You do not have to do it all yourself

As an Account Manager at GovDeals, I talk with agencies that want to move their surplus but need help getting the work done.

That is where the services we offer can make a difference.

We can discuss support with inventorying your assets, taking pictures, gathering information, and creating the auctions. We can also help coordinate pickups and be there when it is time for buyers to collect their purchases.

The right level of support depends on your agency and what you need. That starts with a conversation.

Maybe you have a few vehicles ready to go. Maybe you have a storage room full of equipment and need help figuring out what is there. Or perhaps your biggest concern is having someone available for pickups while your staff handles their regular work.

Tell me where the process is getting held up, and we can talk through how we may be able to help.

Getting space and time back matters too

Recovering money from surplus is important, but it is only part of the benefit.

Moving unused assets can give you back parking spaces, storage areas, and room for equipment your department actually uses. Getting help with the process can also free up staff time and give you one less thing to keep following up on.

An old vehicle sitting in the yard still needs attention. So does a room full of furniture nobody has used in years. Clearing those assets gives your team room to focus on the work in front of them.

I have worked alongside government agencies long enough to know that a delay does not always mean someone is ignoring the job. Sometimes there simply are not enough people to get everything done.

If that sounds familiar, reach out to me, Michael Reyes or visit GovDeals.

Let’s have that conversation. Tell me what you have, what is taking up space, and where you need support. We can work through the next steps together.

I understand why surplus sometimes ends up at the bottom of the list.
